There are many natural remedies that can treat your headache quickly and easily.
Ginger is called as an elixir for headaches. It reduces inflammation of the blood vessels in the head giving relief. Mix equal parts of ginger juice and lemon juice and have it once or twice in a day.
Peppermint oil has a refreshing smell and thus helps to open the clogged blood vessels which cause headaches. Mix 3 drops of the essential oil with 1 tablespoon of almond oil, olive oil or just water.
Cinnamon also works wonders to treat your headache. Grind some cinnamon sticks into fine powder and add water to it. The consistency should be that of a thick paste. Apply it on your forehead and temples and lie down for 30-35 minutes after which wash it with lukewarm water.
Basil is counted as a muscle relaxant. Thus, it is helpful to cure mild headaches caused by tense muscles. Chew some fresh basil leaves or massage your forehead with basil oil mixed with a base oil.
Ice helps you to cure inflammation that leads to headaches. Ice packs also help to numb the pain. Apply the ice pack to the back of your neck, this will give you relief from the pain.
